Bu d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcn m\u00fchendislerin gerek \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma ko\u015fullar\u0131na gerekse toplumsal kimliklerine yans\u0131malar\u0131 \u00f6rnekler \u00fczerinden ele al\u0131narak tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Zihin eme\u011fi kapsam\u0131nda olan m\u00fchendislikte ya\u015fanan de\u011fi\u015fimlerin, el eme\u011finin tarihsel s\u00fcre\u00e7 boyunca ge\u00e7irdi\u011fi de\u011fi\u015fimlerle ortak ve farkl\u0131 olan yanlar\u0131 vurgulanmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. M\u00fchendislik alan\u0131nda genel anlamda saptanabilen de\u011fi\u015fimlerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, mesle\u011fin sanayile\u015fme s\u00fcreciyle olan do\u011frudan ba\u011f\u0131 nedeniyle, farkl\u0131 \u00fclkelerin sanayile\u015fme tarihlerine ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan m\u00fchendislik g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcmleri ve bu ba\u011flamda T\u00fcrkiye`de m\u00fchendisli\u011fin \u00f6zg\u00fcl durumu da konu edilmi\u015ftir. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada m\u00fchendislik alan\u0131nda ya\u015fanan d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcn &#8220;i\u015f\u00e7ile\u015fme&#8221; kavram\u0131yla a\u00e7\u0131klanabilece\u011fi ileri s\u00fcr\u00fclm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr.
